If we never aged, would we ever cry?
This Project is an exploration into the concepts of aging, childhood innocence, yearning for freedom, and the maturity that many youth are forced to develop at a young age due to circumstances outside of their control. Simply conversing genuinely with these individuals has allowed me to get to know them as they open up to me about their passions, families, and relationships, and their desired futures. The presence of bikes throughout many of these images suggests a metaphor, as the mode of transportation can be seen as a representation of freedom and independence.
